Who Is Kevin Keller
Kevin Keller is a technologist first and a General Counsel second, or maybe the two aren't separable at all. He's an inventor on multiple patents and has spent 15+ years advising on AI, working on some of the most recognizable products in the space: predictive page-fetch algorithms behind Amazon Silk, ambient computing and computer vision inside Amazon Go and Amazon Astro, and ML models powering predictive analysis and ad placement at Facebook and Instacart. That technical depth sits alongside a career built on leading through complexity leadership roles at top public tech companies and startups, teams of up to 50 managed, Series C and debt financings led, and the acquisition and integration of multiple $100M+ tech companies.
What's one accomplishment you're proud of?
Given a career full of billion-dollar deals and global operations, Kevin's answer goes somewhere quieter. He points to his research and development work the inventing, the patents, the years spent deep in the technical mechanics of AI before most legal teams were paying close attention. It's a reminder that underneath the deals and the titles, Kevin has always been, at heart, a builder.
Who has influenced or helped you on your journey?
Kevin credits numerous mentors — but not for legal expertise. "Numerous mentors who focused more on business and interpersonal relationship coaching than on the law," he says. It's a telling emphasis for someone who has spent a career translating deep technical fluency into business judgment: the law, in his account, was never the hard part. Understanding people and business was.
